Troop 423 Honor Guard
Founded in the spring of 2025, the Troop 423 Honor Guard is the first Scout Honor Guard established in the Scouting America Cascade Pacific Council. The team of eight dedicated Scouts represents the highest standards of discipline, service, and patriotism.
The Honor Guard was created to preserve and uphold the traditions of respect for our nation’s flag and those who have served it. The team performs an average of 15 ceremonies each year, providing professional and dignified support for flag presentations, flag retirement ceremonies, memorial services, council and community events, patriotic observances, Scout functions, and ceremonies at local senior living communities.
Every member is trained in ceremonial drill, flag etiquette, and the customs and courtesies expected of an Honor Guard. The team strives to honor every occasion with precision, professionalism, and reverence.
The Troop 423 Honor Guard team is proudly sponsored by Tigard American Legion Post 158 and the Knights of Columbus, whose continued support helps the team serve both Scouting and the surrounding community.
