Troops 423 & 218
The Place To Be!
BSA Troop 423 of Tigard, Oregon was charted on September 1, 1997 and the Tigard American Legion Post #158 has been our charter organization since 2016.
We operate a strong, Scout-led program that reinforces the principles of Scouting . Troop 423 is a year-round program built on the outdoors, and we use the patrol method to facilitate leadership and involvement. We emphasize training at all levels of the Scouting program....adult Scouters, junior leaders, and new Scouts. We support Scouting’s safe-haven policy so that our Scouts can develop in a safe environment free from many of the influences and pressures of today’s youth.
Since Troop 423 began, we have helped foster the growth and development of hundreds of Scouts, including 135 who made it all the way to Eagle Scout!

Troop 218
Troop 218 is an all Girl Troop Established in 2019. Troop 218 is the sister-troop to Troop 423 and in almost every case, both Troops function as one and attend all the same activities.
Troop 218 was created on February 1, 2019 and The American Legion #158 of Tigard is our charter organization.

We emphasize training at all levels of the Scouting program....adult Scouters, junior leaders, and new Scouts.
